About Pinzivo

Pinzivo is a small set of free tools for saving things off Pinterest. There are five of them, one for each kind of thing Pinterest holds, plus a general one that works out which you need. That is the whole site.

Why it exists

Pinterest is excellent at helping you find things and much less interested in helping you keep them. There is no reliable download button. Right-clicking an image gives you a shrunken copy sized for the page layout rather than the file that was uploaded. Videos, animated pins and multi-slide pins offer nothing at all. And a board you spent two years building can vanish the day someone deletes their account.

For most people that is a mild annoyance. For anyone who works visually — designers pulling reference, people planning a kitchen, someone following a recipe with the phone propped against a bowl — it is a genuine obstacle.

Pinzivo fills that gap and nothing else.

What it does

You paste a link and you get the file. No account, no email address, no app to install, no extension asking for permission to read every page you visit. It runs in the browser you already have open, on whatever device is nearest.

Each tool is built for one kind of content rather than one tool pretending to handle everything equally well. A video needs a quality picker. A board needs to be bundled. A multi-slide pin needs to be pulled apart in order. Those are genuinely different jobs, so they get genuinely different tools.

What it does not do

It cannot reach anything private. Secret boards, private profiles and anything behind a Pinterest login are invisible to it, and there is no login step that would change that. If a tool ever asks you for Pinterest credentials, close the tab — that is not how any of this needs to work.

It does not remove branding that a creator burned into their own image or video. That is their work and their mark, and taking it out would require re-encoding the file and degrading it anyway.

It does not give you rights you did not already have. Saving something for yourself is one thing. Republishing it, putting it in a client deck, or selling it is another, and that is between you and whoever made it.

Who runs it

Pinzivo is run by one person, independently. It is not connected to Pinterest, Inc. in any way, has no relationship with them, and is not endorsed by them. The name is ours; theirs is theirs.

There is no company behind this, no investors, and no plan to add a paid tier. It costs very little to run and it is more useful free.

Getting in touch

If a link stops working, a tool starts failing, or something on the site is broken, tell me about it. Broken pins are the single most useful thing you can report, because Pinterest changes how it serves content periodically and things quietly break without any warning on this end.
